1.01 ACCEPTABLE -- PSYCHOLOGY ABUSE TERMS, CONCEPTS

==== Acceptable

MEANING: The words or behavior that meet a standard or that a person can live with. The reverse, unacceptable means that a person cannot accept that behavior and that consequences will follow.

RELEVANCE TO ABUSE: Verbal abuse is unacceptable behavior. Those who are abused will need to spell out what behavior they can live with and what they expect from abusive people. By doing this an abused person is also setting limits on what can be tolerated.
