7.0 WHEN TO STAY IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP

Some relationships are much more abusive than others. If you generally have a good relationship but it deteriorates into pointless arguing, you can probably fix this.

Even a more abusive relationship is worth working on when you can see you are making progress. If you seem to be moving in the right direction, don't second guess why, just keep moving.

The old adage is that couples either grow together or grow apart. If you keep growing together that is probably the best you can ask for, so just keep pushing (gently) in the right direction.

Personal Note: I think that the body language between a couple says a lot. If they argue but hold hands and are affectionate, then the disagreements are not so deep that they cannot be fixed. A sense of humor also says a lot. If the abuser has good humor, then the odds are, he/she can be cured.
