7.4 WHY SHOULD YOU ACKNOWLEDGE ABUSE?

You are being slowly altered by the abuser into a different person. If you value your identity, you must free yourself from the abuser's controls.

Abuse only gets worse over time; if you try to appease or placate the abuser it will be just that much harder to change the abuser's behavior; change it as quickly as possible before it becomes habitual.

Life does not have to be a struggle. It does not have to feel like you are carrying a heavy weight. It does not have to be full of arguments and unpredictable mood swings. If you want something more, do something about the abusive behavior.
